Brand Marketing Manager

maude is seeking a Brand Marketing Manager to lead and support our brand strategy cross-functionally. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer and strategic thinker who will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of marketing, including general marketing support, press and communications, content strategy and management on both the blog (The Maudern) and social media, as well as analytics and reporting. Working collaboratively across channels and departments, this individual supports storytelling from concept to product launches, campaigns, content, partnerships and activations infusing an elevated and lively tone into brand voice and positioning. Thriving in high-paced environments, the ideal candidate seamlessly integrates strategic content with innovative ideas. This role involves crafting customized programs with clear KPIs to actualize overall maude’s business goals. This role will report to the Director of Marketing.

 

Responsibilities:

 

General Marketing Support:

  • Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position will support and execute the development and implementation of maude’s marketing strategy.
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, working closely with all internal stakeholders (Marketing, Product Development, Creative, Operations, Growth) to deliver high-impact 360° product launch strategies across channels both on and offline.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns to promote brand awareness and drive engagement.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors aligned with the brand's values and aesthetic.
  • Support the coordination of influencer collaborations, including product gifting, campaign briefings, and content approvals.

 

Press and Communications:

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
  • Develop and execute PR strategies to enhance brand visibility.
  • Create press releases, pitch stories, and coordinate media interviews.

 

Social and Blog Content Strategy and Management:

  • Lead the development of a cohesive content strategy aligned with the brand's goals.
  • Utilize existing content, topics, and brand partners to grow columns, topics and people featured.
  • Ensure content is engaging, consistent with brand messaging, and optimized for SEO
  • Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand presence and engagement.
  • Create and curate compelling content for various social media platforms.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends and conversations relevant to the brand.

 

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Utilize analytics tools to track and measure the success of owned channel marketing campaigns.
  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for improvement.
  • Use data to optimize marketing strategies and make data-driven recommendations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of marketing experience within the beauty industry, beauty publication, and/or fast-growing DTC brand highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in brand marketing with a focus on content creation, social media, and press relations.
  • Proficiency in thriving within a dynamic work environment, adeptly managing multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail and exceptional project management skills.
  • Capable of collaborating effectively across various functions, adeptly uniting individuals towards shared objectives.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using analytics tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Innovative thinker attuned to the latest industry trends.
