I have been with my partner for 4 and a half beautiful years
How did you meet?
We actually met on Snapchat which is pretty funny. We had a lot of mutual friends and discovered we have always been near each other throughout our early 20's but never actually connected. We went to the same clubs, events, bars, and never bumped into each other. I don't know how we started following each other on Snapchat, but we facetimed for the first time and it lasted for hours. After that the rest is history. We were inseparable...
In your day to day life, how do you make time for intimacy?
Creating time for intimacy with myself is the most important. Taking care of myself is essential like listening to my body, my mind, and studying what I need. I dedicate at least an hour a day for self-care. This can be taking a relaxing bath filled with essential oils or pampering myself with a long facial ending with gua-sha.
Making time for intimacy in my relationship can look like us planning a couple of days a week to do something we haven't done in a while or being adventurous. We love to create new memories with each other and spark joy in our relationship.
With social distancing & quarantine, how has human contact changed for you?
It has allowed me to slow down... Listen to myself, my partner, my family, my friends... Even the earth and nature. I feel more conscious and aware of my surroundings and myself. I have cultivated a new relationship with living in the moment and less on autopilot. I have been more intentional to exude love, patience, and understanding with everyone and everything around me.
