What is your relationship status?
How long have you been with your partner?
This year in November will make 7 years.
How did you meet?
We met through a mutual friend.
In your day to day life, how do you make time for intimacy?
Intimacy is part of my self-care practice. I spend time alone nurturing myself - bathing then anointing myself with oils. I ignite the senses through cooking. Sunbathe on the roof. All of this soothes and relaxes me for intimacy.
With social distancing & quarantine, how has human contact changed for you?
I live with my son and my partner so I am around humans I love daily. But with my work as a doula and educator, a lot of our education has moved online, including our doula training programs. It’s been interesting to bring my energy to the digital space in a different way.
You feel most loved when__
I feel most loved when cuddled, spooning in embrace with my partner.
A favorite literary or on-screen romance:
I love seeing the different relationships play out on Issa Rae’s Insecure.
All turn-ons are particular to the individual, I love my forearms being caressed.
The perfect date:
Depends on the time of year, location, moon phase—all of those factors.
Your in-the-mood food:
I love vegan Passionfruit Ice Cream. And almond butter cup chocolates.
Drink of choice:
I rarely drink so, I concoct fresh herbal sun teas, green juice, and when I drink alcohol, a nice glass of Sancerre.
A sexy or intimate song you love:
Keeps Me Alive by Moses Sumney.
Dating advice to your younger self:
Be still, focus on falling in love with yourself and don’t chase anyone.
What your parents said about love and relationships:
That relationships take patience and that love is not enough to stay with someone, it’s hard work.
