In our Happiest Hour series with AMASS cocktail we talk content and cocktails (or mocktails)—giving you everything you need to set the mood.

We love a good martini (especially when it comes with a heaping pile of fries). We asked our friends at AMASS for their go-to formula. This simple, fool-proof recipe comes straight from Robby, sales director and longtime beverage expert, at the Los Angeles-based spirit brand. Be sure to try the easy swap for a non-alcoholic version.

Before, liquid courage.

UK-based study showed that spirits, more often than not, elicited positive emotions. Hard alcohol, like gin, created a feeling of being energized, confident, and sexy. Talk about a happy hour.

Quarantini: Amass' 50/50 Martini

what you'll need:
1.5 oz AMASS Dry Gin
1.5 oz dry vermouth

    how to do it:
Combine ingredients, stir with ice (chopsticks work great!) for 20 seconds or until very cold; strain into a martini glass. Garnish with a lemon twist, olive, your mouth as you take a drink.

    if you aren't drinking:
Substitute gin for your favorite non-alcoholic spirit like SeedlipVermouth can be a little trickier to replace, but Robby suggests a white tea for a flavorful swap.

    During, a little heat.

Our burn candle is the perfect way to get things going. Burn candle until partly liquid and extinguish the flame. Slowly pour the warm liquid onto skin or apply directly with your fingertips.

    After, mood music.

We've long been fans of a mood-boosting playlist. Take nightcap, a low-key playlist with the likes of Billie Holiday & Kat Edmonson; some smooth jazz as you wind your eve down. Find the full playlist here
